CHRISTMAS STORMS
This following essay is going to be about the story of Christmas Storms and  Sunshine, and how the events that occur are related to two values, which are citizenship and commitment.

This is a very important and unique story because its events and plot lead to a very important moral in life.

Christmas storms and sunshine does not have an specific setting , neither place and time.  Just says it was named the Victorian Era, and for the background story that everything may happen in British.
It merely specifies details such as how society was developing itself with what where the circumstances.

Politics had to do a lot with everyone at that time, and who you supported played a big role on who you were, your status , and how you were going to be treated.
The story focuses on two newspapers which were named “The Flying Post” & “Examiner”.
And this two every week they were posted just contained  articles bashing and abusing each other. This demostrates that these are the two bands.

The story  really begins with Two Families, The Jenkins and the Hodgsons.
These two families shared a lot of things in common , they were involved in the politics media and fight to have the same privileges at that time , that was to be married and having a child and just accomplishing goals as making money and prove it by the things you owned.
They at the beginning of the story do not get along because one family is , superior than other , and the superior one bashes  and criticizes the other one, so this is basically what they fight for. For who is going to be the most important and prestigious one.

One important detail in the story which leads to the moral is the fact that Mary (Hogdson) do has a baby (which gives you status) and  Mrs Jenkins do not, instead she has a cat, which in the story is no detail giving about why did Mary get the let's say guts and the anger to beat a cat.
also, in another occasion she is trying to coexist with Mrs Jenkins and she justs bashes and belittles her for not having what she has.

For an unknown reason Mary justs mistreats and beats the cat who owner results to be Mr Jenkins. But despite for the many inconvenient encounters they had along all the text, there is this event where Mary's Mom appears into the highlight and does this little gift to Mary , that is some scented towels and a letter which she expresses she is missed everyday and specially in the special holidays such as Christmas.
This makes Mary very sensitive and she stated to feel yearning about allá those memories she built with her family a long time along where what mattered the most was the union among individuals and sharing , so this basically warms up the heart of Mary and it's husband.

Also this has to be taken into account with the fact that they both could putting their differences appart to achieve what they needed that was to save the life of Mary's Baby , which turned the whole situation to be fearful and concerned into a very calm and hopeful one.

At the end of the story they end up being friends again and retaking the traditions they used to follow just to spend a good time together.

So for my personal opinion the moment I finished reading and analyzed all the events, I Disagree completely with the mentality of the Victorian society in the story because I do not find clever to just one people to be superior to another according on what they have, is what you can do and how you treat people's what makes you a valuable person at the society , it's all about what toy have to offer in order to help the other.
